St. Germain

This is a tough disc to describe. Equal parts jazz and techno. I suppose more on the jazz side of the fence as it is on the wonderful Blue Note label. These guys are an actual group, playing jazz (trumpet, sax, keyboards, drum…), but sampling a nice selection of current techno beats. And great CD for dinner parties or just chilling out in the evening. Highly recommended!

After reviewing the Thievery Corporation I found myself looking for something else in the same vain, I found it in St. Germain. You can dance to it or set-back and just groove. If you happen to be a Jazz purest and are looking for a different feel St Germain is the album to get your hands on, but it pushes the Jazz envelope pretty hard.
